Nyangu's rating and review system helps everyone on the platform make informed decisions and holds landlords, agents, and renters accountable for their conduct. Every review on Nyangu is tied to a verified transaction, which means only people who have genuinely engaged through the platform can leave a review.

Who can leave a review?

Reviews on Nyangu work as follows:

  • Renters can review a landlord, an agent, and the property they occupied
  • Landlords can review a renter and any agent they have worked with through the platform
  • Agents can review a landlord they have worked with through the platform

Reviews are only available to parties who have completed a verified transaction together on Nyangu.

How do I leave a review?

Once your lease period is complete or a transaction is concluded, you will receive a prompt in the app to rate and review the relevant party or property. You can also navigate to the relevant listing or profile and submit your review from there. Ratings are given on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, and you can include a written comment to provide more detail.

Can I post my review anonymously?

Yes. When submitting a review, you can choose to post it under your name or anonymously. If you post anonymously, your identity will not be visible to other users or to the person being reviewed. Nyangu retains a record of all reviews internally for moderation and trust and safety purposes, regardless of whether they are posted anonymously.

Can I edit or delete my review?

You can edit your review within 48 hours of submitting it. After that period, reviews are locked and cannot be amended. If you believe a review on your profile is false, defamatory, or was submitted in error, contact our support team at support@nyangu.com, and we will investigate.

What happens if I receive a negative review?

Negative reviews are part of maintaining transparency and accountability on the platform. You cannot remove a legitimate review. However, you have the right to respond to any review left on your profile. Your response will be visible to other users alongside the original review.

Are reviews moderated?

Yes. Nyangu moderates all reviews before they are published. Reviews that contain offensive language, false claims, personal attacks, or content that violates our community guidelines will be removed. Reviews that are factual and reflect a genuine experience, including negative ones, will be published.

Can someone review me without having transacted with me on Nyangu?

No. Reviews are only available to verified parties who have completed a transaction together through the platform. This protects all users from malicious or unverified reviews.
