Landlord Verification Documents

Modified on Sun, 3 May at 3:57 AM

To verify your identity as a landlord on Nyangu, you will need to provide the following documents during the verification process.

Required Documents

Government-issued identification (one of the following):

  • National Identification Number (NIN) slip or card
  • Driver's License

Bank Verification Number (BVN): Your BVN is required to validate your identity and link your account for payment processing.

Optional Documents

Business registration document: A CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) certificate is recommended if you manage rental properties through a registered business entity. While not mandatory, providing this document strengthens your profile and is particularly useful if you manage multiple properties or act on behalf of other property owners.

Document Upload Guidelines

Ensure all documents are clear, legible, and not expired. Upload photos or scans in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. If any part of a document is obscured or unreadable, your verification may be delayed, and you will be asked to resubmit.

What About Property Documents?

Property ownership documents are submitted separately when you list each property. Refer to the Property Verification Documents article for details on what is required per listing.
